Risk Assessment

The team lists potential threats and vulnerabilities:

• Cyberattacks
• Hardware failures
• Power outages
• Natural disasters
• Supply chain disruptions
• Service interruptions

The team conducts impact analysis. This assesses the potential impact of each identified risk on critical functions and services.

Business Impact Analysis

The team identifies critical functions and processes that must be maintained or quickly restored:

• Data centers
• Network operations
• Cloud services
• Customer support

The team establishes priorities for recovery and identifies dependencies between critical functions, such as specific hardware, software, personnel, and third-party services.

Continuity Strategies

• The team develops alternative work arrangements. The following are the possible work arrangements but not limited to remote work, alternative office locations, and flexible work schedules. 
• The team ensures remote access capabilities are secure and reliable.
• The team identifies and allocates necessary resources to support continuity efforts.
• The team establishes a communication plan to keep stakeholders (employees, customers, partners, and regulatory authorities) informed during and after a disruption.
• The team defines roles and responsibilities for communication.
• The team ensures that communication channels are secure and reliable.

The team strictly follows the guidelines in the Incident Management Policy and Breach Notification Procedures. Please read those sections for more detailed information.

Employee Training

• The team conducts comprehensive training to employees on their roles and responsibilities during a disruption, and other guidelines to follow.
• The team ensures they are familiar with the BCP and know how to execute their tasks effectively.

Regular Testing and Drills

The team conducts regular tests and drills to ensure the effectiveness of the BCP and other policies in place.

The tests and drills are the following:

• Tabletop exercises
• Simulations
• Full-scale drills. 

The team documents and incorporates findings from the testing and drills to the BCP and other measures in place.
